Something in us yearns to connect with other human beings.

Peter Gabriel expresses it well in this song, "Come Talk to Me." He wrote it at a time when he was struggling to connect with his daughter. I love three things about Gabriel: his lyrics are profound, his music intricate, and he tries to tell stories as he performs. Check out the video and see if you don't agree.

We all share this yearning - we were made to touch one another at a deep level and to do so regularly. Daily even. Yet for those of us in the west, this innate need is largely unfulfilled. It's no way to live. We need to listen to our souls and find places of connection.
