David Hogan looks the part of the simple missionary from Louisiana he has been for years (to Indians in the hinterlands of Mexico).

He believed that Jesus wasn't kidding when He said, "You will do greater works than these." He figured that the most challenging thing for him to trust God for was raising someone from the dead. He began asking God to give him faith to believe for that.

In the end, Hogan's faith made him a wild man for Jesus with fruit that is challenging to our Western minds. He claims to have seen 21 people raised from the dead.

What's sad is that our first inclination as Americans is to disbelieve the implications of what Jesus said: that we'd do greater works. For example, I have a friend who was raised from the dead and wrote a book about it. To hear Hogan speak in these videos is to behold a man who doesn't mind being a fool for Christ.

At the same time, Hogan has his share of critics. You be the judge.
