Last year in April, we got the idea for the World Race. Seeing the huge potential it had, we made a
quick plan and launched it in May. Within three months, most of the first 25 participants signed up. We met for a long weekend in October, and after a week of training at the beginning of January, they took off around the world.

Sometimes, you just have to start like that - rushing to get a new thing out the door. But this year,
hundreds of people have applied and the first two teams are read for training.

We've decided to give them a month of training before they head out and to do so simultaneously with our First Year Missionaries.

Only problem with the plan: overcrowding. Solution? Karen and I live on 10 acres, so we've decided
to put them on tents on our front lawn. The first two arrived yesterday.

These aren't normal 20-somethings. They are rough and ready. Sarah Bullers led a forest fire fighting crew out west all summer. Andrew Maas and a friend biked from Florida to Texas, taking no money and living on faith. The others look like them.

We've got an amazing slate of teachers coming and many of these guys have been fasting for a month. I'm expecting God to move in a big way over the next two weeks.

I'll update you on how it goes.
