It's been a good week for challenging young people to go to the nations. This past weekend, Gary Black spoke to thousands at The Call in Las Vegas. Gary used to speak at events like this all the time, but now is pouring his life out for orphans in Swaziland. So his message had particular credibility.

And a while ago, we posted a news release on Christian Newswire about the World Race, and Bob Crittenden from Faith Broadcasting, a radio network in Alabama, contacted us wanting an interview for his show called the Meeting House.

We did the interview a few weeks ago, and it aired on October 8. He spoke with Chad Mast, Laura Jacobs and me about the World Race, a world missions adventure that takes you around the world in 11 months.

As glamorous as these types of things seem at times, I really wish I could take the listeners into the heart of what a program like this is really about. I wish there was a way to break their hearts for the destitute and the lost.

But you can't understand that kind of reality unless you go. I suppose the best we can hope for is to catch a hint of what the Racers have tasted thru their blogs.

In the interview I said, "Young people are dying to be challenged by something that's real. They're sick to death of pseudo-Christianity and doing church as usual... and this gives them reality." Maybe it struck a nerve with a radical parent, minister, or future participant. I can only hope.

Please share this link with friends and anyone you know in the media! We're hoping to do several more interviews like this in the future to get the word out.
