We had a blast at the Almands for Thanksgiving. I posed the question, "Does the culture we were raised with in our family of origin need to be the culture we give to our children?"

The things I liked about our time that I want to be a part of our family culture:

  • Open to anybody - it's a big extended family.
  • Everybody brings food.
  • Everybody helps do something.
  • Fun experiments - we cooked turkey in the ground.
  • Prayer to start - check out my facebook clip.
  • Laughter and stories throughout.
  • Intergenerational fun - dancing and games.

What is your family culture? Is it something you inherited? Are there parts of it you would change? Which parts?
