Last week something happened that invaded my cozy world. Alli Mellon came into my office and told me about an orphanage outside Delhi India; where 360 orphans live on 7 cents a day.

"Who supports them?" I asked.

"We do", she said. "Our teams go in there and feed them and clean their scabies. If we don't buy food, they go hungry. The heat gets up to over 125 degrees and they don't have enough water. It gets so hot they can't sleep at night" they just lay around on the hot ground, exhausted."

Alli told me about a team member named Allen (that's him in the picture), who had developed a special relationship with little Suraj-john at the orphanage. Allen told her what it was like to say goodbye to him:

"When it came time to leave, he gave me a big hug and looked at me intently and said, 'Don't forget me Allen Uncle. I am Suraj-john. Don't forget me when you leave. I know your name - your name is Allen Uncle. I love you Allen Uncle. My name is Suraj-john.'"

That orphanage has two full-time workers. Each month, it costs $15 for the workers and $400 for food - that is the budget.

When you look at these pictures, what else can you do? We've got to help. I know God wants us to help.

Here's how to give. Please let me know about it, as I will need to tell the finance dept. what the Lord wants us to do.
